HMI April 2004

The school's action plan has provided a well-structured agenda for removing the causes of the serious weaknesses... Procedures for monitoring and evaluation have been followed through successfully...

Pupils behaviour and attitudes were at least satisfactory in all lessons and were good or very good in two thirds of the lessons

Pupils showed mutual respect and courtesy to each other and towards adults

An ethos of care is pervasive...The school fosters an inclusive culture... Behaviour around the school and in the playground was good...

The school makes good provision for the pupils spiritual, moral, social and cultural development... Girls and boys participate equally in the life of the school...

Cross curricular planning is developing well

A governing body with an energetic commitment to the school is emerging
